Register Now for Museums Advocacy Day 2015
Feb. 23-24 in Washington, DC

“Organized events like Museums Advocacy Day and Speak Up for Ohio Museums harness our collective message that museums matter into one loud roar. For those of you who feel intimidated by the prospect of engaging with legislators, remember that we are constituents with the right to be heard, not only as individuals, but as museum professionals advocating for our respective institutions.”
–Alexandra Nicholis Coon, Executive Director, Massillon Museum (OH)

Do your legislators understand the value of your museum in your community?

Museums Advocacy Day is a critical opportunity to make a unified case to Congress about the vital role of museums nationwide. The Alliance makes it easy by providing comprehensive policy briefings and scheduling your meetings on Capitol Hill.

  • New awareness of the vital role of museums
  • Valuable and unique networking opportunities
"In February 2015, dozens of new members of Congress will be in office and it’s up to us to make sure that every legislator knows the essential value of museums and the services they provide in nearly every community,” said Alliance President Ford W. Bell. “I hope all museums will identify a representative to join us for Museums Advocacy Day 2015.”

The entire museum field–staff, students, board members, volunteers, supporters and independent professionals who work for and with museums–is encouraged to join us in Washington, DC for the seventh annual Museums Advocacy Day.
