Atlanta Offerings: Don’t Miss the Federal Agency Pavilion and Advocacy Sessions

The upcoming Alliance Annual Meeting offers several opportunities to connect with federal agency staff, hear about the impact of federally-supported programs for museums, and get important policy and advocacy updates. We hope you will plan to attend some of these unique programs.

Federal Agency Pavilion in the MuseumExpo (map and hours)

Program officers from a number of federal agencies—including IMLS, NEA, NEH, Department of the Interior, and the State Department, among others—will be available to answer your questions about grant opportunities, provide tips on successful grant applications and provide feedback on your prospective project ideas. Also learn about other federal resources and opportunities to collaborate with government agencies.

Q & A with Federal Agency Leaders (Monday, April 27, 1:45-3 p.m.)

Alliance President Ford W. Bell will moderate this session with federal agency leaders. Learn about federal grant opportunities, museum partnerships and other federal initiatives such as Blue Star Museums (NEA), Let’s Move Museums and Gardens (IMLS), the U.S. Department of the Interior Museum Program and more. Send your questions in advance to governmentrelations@aam-us.org.
