Advocacy Alert: Nov. 13

Registration Now Open for Museums Advocacy Day 2018!

With a new President and a new Congress, museums have had a lot at stake this year and many of these battles are not yet over. Federal funding will continue to be a major issue in 2018, and museums could also be significantly impacted by tax reform, education policy, infrastructure legislation, and more.

But legislators do not know how museums are impacted, and how they serve citizens, if they don’t hear it from you—the people they represent. Help make sure museums are at the table in 2018, not on the table.

Register Now

(Alliance members and members of Co-convenor, Leader and Partner organizations register for free!)
  • Do your part for the cause of museums. Join us for this 10th annual event and tell your museum story to legislators and their staff as only you—their constituent—can. Your passion for your work is your superpower on Capitol Hill.
  • Every voice matters. Whether you are a museum professional, independent professional, museum trustee or student planning to enter the museum field, we need you to speak up for museums at this 10th annual event.
  • Invest in yourself. Advocacy is a powerful tool to have in your career arsenal, and Museums Advocacy Day is a unique opportunity to develop these skills. Learn how to be your own best advocate, whatever the issue at hand.
