AAM’s professional education program and Annual Meeting & Museum Expo™ are the best places to find a wide range of innovative and useful professional development experiences. To ensure that these opportunities are available to all museum professionals, we offer a wide variety of fellowships.We encourage you to apply for as many as you like, but you cannot receive more than one.
Getty Multicultural Internship Alumni Fellowship Opportunity!
The American Association of Museums (AAM) is offering full scholarships to alumni of the Getty Multicultural Undergraduate Internship Program to attend the 2010 Annual Meeting and MuseumExpoTM which will be held in Los Angeles from May 23-26, 2010. The scholarships, which include 4 nights lodging, per diem, full meeting registration, certain networking events and travel, are funded by the Getty Foundation in an effort to provide professional development opportunities to former participants of the Internship program. They are only available to Multicultural Undergraduate Internship Program alumni who reside in the United States and are currently active in the museum field.

AAM's fellowship opportunities are available for individual members or museum staff working for an institutional member. If you are not a member check out membership opportunities for individuals and institutions.
Diversity
AAM is strongly committed to issues of diversity represented in ourselves, our institutions and our communities. The Diversity Fellowship is offered as a way to acknowledge and support those individuals that have demonstrated their efforts and have a long-term vision of promoting equity and diversity in the museum field.

Emerging Museum Professionals
The Emerging Museum Professional Fellowship offers support to those within the first ten years of their professional career working in the museum field.

International
The International Fellowship offers annual meeting registration and a $1,500 travel stipend to attendees from countries outside the United States. International attendees must become members of AAM, if they are not already so, prior to the receipt of funds.

Professional Networks
A number of AAM’s Standing Professional Committees (SPCs) and Professional Interest Committees (PICs) offer financial assistance to help colleagues attend the meeting. Eligibility and applications vary by committee. If you work in any of these areas, please check out the following opportunities.
