Registration fees include attendance to all program sessions, general sessions and MuseumExpo™ 2010. Additional fees may be required for committee meetings, workshops, ticketed events and tours.
Attendees, Presenters, and Exhibitors may register online at: www.aam-us.org/am10 to receive immediate confirmation of their meeting registration and ticketed events (evening events, breakfasts, lunches and receptions). Some events, such as On-Site Insights and Tech Tutorials, are only available through online registration.
Annual Meeting Registration Rates
To qualify for early-bird rates, registration forms must be postmarked no later than Feb. 5. Registrations postmarked after Feb. 6 and received by April 16 are eligible for the advance rates. After April 16, registration is only available on-site at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Do not mail or fax any registration forms after April 16.

Badge Mailing
Attendees who register before April 16 (advance registration deadline) will be mailed a badge and additional registration credentials including tickets around May 7. International attendee credentials will not be mailed. International attendees must visit the on-site registration desk in Los Angeles to receive their credentials.
Cancellations/Refunds
All cancellation requests must be made in writing. Cancellation requests received by AAM before April 16 will receive a full refund of both registration and event fees. Cancellation requests received between April 16 and April 30 will receive a 50 percent refund of registration fees only. Event fees will not be refunded after April 16. Cancellation requests will not be accepted after April 30.
Discounted Registrations
Complimentary Registrations: Individuals who have received a certificate or other notification of complimentary registration must submit a registration form by fax or mail to take advantage of the complimentary registration. The certificate or other notification must be attached to the completed registration form. Payment for any ticketed events must be included with the registration form.
Group Registrations: AAM Institutional Members may register all staff at the discounted member rate. Institutional members sending three or more staff members at the published registration rate may subtract $25 off the published registration fee for the fourth and all subsequent registrations. Daily registrations, student, guest and other already discounted rates are not eligible for this discount. To receive this discount by mail or fax, all completed registrations from the same institution MUST be submitted together, with payment. When registering online, the group discount is applied automatically.
Confirmation Notices
All attendees will receive confirmation of registration via email. Notices will include name-badge information, as well as confirmation of selected ticketed events and receipt of payment. Please read your confirmation notice carefully. If you have not received a confirmation within three weeks of submitting your registration or to report a correction or discrepancy, please contact our registration office at 202-289-9131 or e-mail registration@aam-us.org. If you are exhibiting at MuseumExpo™ 2010, please visit www.museumexpo.org for exhibit personnel registration information. The Exhibitor Registration Form will also be provided in the ExhibitorService Manual.
Exhibitors: Please DO NOT use the registration form in this advance program.
Financial Assistance
Fellowship opportunities are available offering varying degrees of financial support to museum professionals, volunteers and students. For information, guidelines, deadlines and application forms, visit www.aam-us.org/10. Individuals who have been awarded a fellowship for a discounted or complimentary registration must submit a registration form by fax or mail to take advantage of the free or discounted registration. A copy of your award letter must be attached to the completed registration form. Payment for any selected additional events must be included with the registration form.
Payment
All registrations, ticketed events and memberships must be prepaid by check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). Any registration forms received without payment will be subject to processing delays. Purchase orders and government training forms are not acceptable forms of payment.
Presenter/Speaker Registration
(Please see Speaker/Presenter contract for full registration information.) Authorized presenters for program sessions receive only one complimentary day pass registration. Event tickets may be purchased for that day only. Presenters who want to attend more than one day or the full annual meeting can pay a special registration fee of $335 (online rate only) by the advance registration deadline date of April 16. New this year, presenters can register online for either their single complimentary day or the full meeting. Registrations mailed in or done on-site in Los Angeles will be charged the registration rate in effect at the time they register.
Special Accommodations
Attendees needing special accommodations including transportation to tours and evening events, information in alternative formats or special meal requests, should inform the AAM Meetings Department at 202-289-9113 or annualmeeting@aam-us.org no later than March 17.
Ticketed Events
Tickets for such events as breakfast meetings, luncheons, receptions and evening events are only available in advance on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets may be purchased only during the pre-registration process. One-day registrants may purchase tickets for events only on that day. No event tickets will be available for purchase with on-site registrations in Los Angeles.
Student Registration
Only current AAM student members may register online at a discounted student rate. Non-members must submit a valid student ID with their registration form by mail or fax to receive the discounted student rate. Students who are also employed by museums will not have their professional affiliation posted in the Attendee List or on their badge unless they register at the published member or non-member rate.
All advance registrations must be received by April 16. After this date, you must register onsite at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
