2012 Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo
Thanks for joining us in Minneapolis Saint Paul -- either online via the Virtual Conference -- or in person for an enriching AAM Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo. It was a grand gathering of close to 5,000 museums professionals (representing 63 countries) and more than 250 exhibitors.
At the general session -- headlined by The Moth, a nonprofit dedicated to the art of storytelling -- AAM president Ford W. Bell urged attendees to work together as a museum community. "When we stand together and speak up, when we advocate with a single, strong voice for what makes us unique, essential and irreplaceable, that is when our message has the greatest impact of our public, our elected officials, our funders, and the media," he said.
