Mark Isaksen - Institute of Museum & Library Services

Mark Isaksen is a Senior Program Officer at IMLS working in the National Leadership Grants, Museums for America and Museum Grants for African American History and Culture programs. His interests include social justice and civil rights, maritime and industrial heritage, and botanic gardens and living collections. He received his BA in History from American University and an MS in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania.

Sandra Narva - Institute of Museum & Library Services

Sandra Narva is a Senior Program Officer at IMLS, where she coordinates Museums for America and National Leadership program grants and directs the Native American/Native Hawaiian Museum Services grant program. Prior to joining IMLS, she held positions at the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, National Museum of American History, and NEH. She earned a BA in History from Franklin & Marshall College and a MA in American Studies from the George Washington University.

Christopher Reich - Institute of Museum & Library Services

Chris Reich is the Senior Advisor in the Office of Museum Services at IMLS, where he began work in 2006 as a senior program officer, primarily responsible for two grant programs: 21st Century Museum Professionals and Museum Grants for African American History and Culture. He has worked in the museum field for over 40 years, including positions as Director/CEO and Curator at museums in Iowa, Alabama, and Connecticut.

Steven Shwartzman - Institute of Museum & Library Services

Steve Shwartzman is a Senior Program Officer at IMLS, where he is part of a team that coordinates Museums for America and National Leadership program grants in the Community Anchors and Collections Stewardship categories. He has a BA in Anthropology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a MA in Museum Studies from George Washington University. Prior to coming to IMLS, he worked in museums in New Jersey, New York, Washington, DC and Virginia.

Helen Wechsler - Institute of Museum & Library Services

Helen Wechsler serves as a supervisory grants management specialist in the Office of Museum Services at IMLS. She has been involved in IMLS initiatives involving 21st century skills, early learning, and digital media and learning. She came to IMLS from the American Architectural Foundation before which she spent 17 years at AAM directing Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects and serving as Director of International and Ethics Programs.
