What do Common Core State Standards mean for museums? Educators from diverse museums will discuss strategies for connecting museum resources with K–12 schools through Common Core standards. This session will include an opportunity for audience members to share their projects, questions and ideas.

Rebekah Harding - Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation

Rebekah Harding is the Education Outreach Manager for the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation. She received her Master’s degree in American history from California State University, Northridge and has over 12 years of experience in informal education. Rebekah’s work focuses on teaching history and civics through project-based learning, assisting in creating the next generation of citizen leaders.

Claudia Ocello - Museum Partners Consulting

Claudia is co-chair of EdCom’s Leadership Development and Awards Committee. She has worked both full-time in and as a consultant to museums of many shapes, sizes, budgets, genres, and geographic locations. Claudia is a past EdCom Award Winner for Excellence in Programs and Excellence in Practice. She has an MS in Museum Education from Bank Street College and consults in education, evaluation, exhibition development and accessibility.
