The Alliance organizes face-to-face professional development and networking opportunities throughout the year.
Dec. 6, 12 noon–3 p.m.
Skirball Cultural Center
Join staff from the Skirball Cultural Center and Skirball Build a Better World (BABW) partners to explore the development of the BABW initiative, a program that partners the Skirball with local organizations, such as TreePeople, Habitat for Humanity, and Heaven on Earth Society for Animals that are making positive differences in the Los Angeles community. Learn how to take this model and apply it to your institution as a tool for expanding programming, audience engagment, and return visitorship.
Join us for Museums Advocacy Day 2014 and help make the case that museums are essential—as education providers and economic drivers—in every community. If museums are not at the table, they could be on the table.
Attendees choose from more than 150 substantive program sessions, hear from dozens of thought leaders, see and sample the latest museum products, and share challenges and solutions with colleagues from around the world.
The Alliance Annual Meeting is the premier professional development opportunity of the museum year, as some 5,000 museum professionals gather to network, grow and learn.
