US museums may partner with either an Embassy-nominated non-US museum or they may nominate a pre-identified non-US partner into the proposal process. Non-US museums that have not been nominated in one of these two ways are not eligible for MCCA.

Embassy-Nominated Non-US Museums
These museums have been vetted by the Cultural Affairs staff at the local US Embassy or Consulate and have been identified as institutions with the capacity and ingenuity to collaborate successfully with US institutions on MCCA projects.

US-Museum Nominations, due January 30, 2009
US museums that are already working with non-US partner institutions may nominate these museums into the MCCA proposal process. Nominations by US museums must have the endorsement of the local US Embassy or Consulate.
