Application Information

Deadline: December 1 or July 1. The next application deadline is July 1.

Application:

• The simple Word format version gives you control over the formatting of the final document including access to spell check and other Word functions, but not the ease of box-checking.
  
  
• The Word fill-in format gives you the convenience of box-checking, which may expedite your completion of the application. However, Word fill-in has limited functions, lacking freedom to format the document as you please, as well as excluding your ability to spell-check.

Make sure to choose the application format that will work best for you.

Costs: Assessment costs are based on your institution's annual operating expenses. Participation costs range from free to $750.

This application is available through a Cooperative Agreement between AAM and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

Flexible Participation Option

If you're not eligible for the above application, want a more flexible start time or are interested in the Leadership assessment, consider our Flexible Participation option. Flexible Participation allows you to apply for MAP at any time.

Deadline: Open

Costs: Flexible Participation Assessment costs include an administrative fee and the cost of the peer reviewer travel.  Costs range from $4,000-6,000.
