RESOURCES
These resources can enhance your assessment by strengthening your operations, developing your staff and institution and assisting in implementing the recommendations that will be provided in your final report.
*MAP Bookshelf (Provided by AAM Press & Bookstore) You will receive an essential set of books specifically targeted to your assessment type.
*Museum Essentials webinar series (Developed by AAM Professional Development). You and your staff will receive access to the entire 2011 AAM Museum Essentials webinar series, and access to all of the 2009 and 2010 on-demand (recorded) Museum Essentials webinar series.
*AAM Information Center. The AAM Information Center provides a wealth of resources to help museums achieve standards and best practices. You and your staff will have full access to the Information Center and can use it in the following ways:
- browse its extensive online resources, which cover a wide range of museum legal, ethical and operational issues
- receive confidential, customized reference services from Information Center specialists
- request sample policies or plans appropriate for your institution.
*AAM Institutional Members receive many of the above benefits for free or a discounted price. These resources are not included in Flexible Participation.
RECOGNITION
AAM will provide its professional expertise in order to help your institution receive national recognition for the work that you are doing to strive towards excellence. AAM will be recognizing these efforts by engaging with:

- the museum field, by informing state and regional museum associations of your involvement in MAP.
