Sustainability Excellence Awards (SEA)

The Sustainability Excellence Awards (SEA) is a  Environment and Climate Network signature program that educates, facilitates, and encourages environmentally sustainable practices in museums. Started in 2014, the awards recognize sustainability efforts in facilities, programming, and exhibits in both large and small institutions.

These awards provide an opportunity to share sustainability stories and encourage museums to develop and educate visitors about green practices.

SEA winners are:

  • Recognized at the AAM Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo, receive an award certificate, and a gift donated on their behalf to the“Adopt an Acre of the Northern Rockies” program from the Nature Conservancy
  • Featured in a variety of the Environment and Climate Network’s communications.
  • Invited to participate in a panel session at the following year’s AAM Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo.
