1. Read the Alliance’s Code of Ethics for Museums and Characteristics of Excellence for U.S. Museums. 

2. Take the Pledge:

My institution pledges that, in fulfillment of our educational mission, we will strive to operate according to national standards and best practices to the best of our abilities and in accordance with our resources.

3. If you agree, email us the following:

      • Your Name and Title
      • Institution Name, City, State
      • Director’s Name and Email

4. You will receive a confirmation email with:

      • A link to a customizable certificate
      • A list of how to make the most of taking the Pledge of Excellence
 5. The Alliance will add your institution to the list (updated weekly) of those that have taken the Pledge.
