In this webinar, David Trowbridge (Marshall University/Clio app) will discuss how—and why—history institutions can build virtual tours at no cost using the Clio app. With a data base of more than 30,000 entries and more than 700 walking tours, Clio—a completely free app developed with support from NEH and others—already guides thousands of people to nearby history and culture each day. The app’s new features, developed in response to the pandemic, allow history organizations to build a virtual tour in about a day without cost or any special equipment! This conversation will focus on how institutions can use these features to develop a virtual tour, as well as a broader discussion of what works, what might be possible, and what kinds of features and functions you would like to see included in the app. Join us for an exciting conversation about how you can use the Clio app to promote and share the work your institution is doing.
