Collections Stewardship of AAM’s EMP Committee is excited to bring a group of distinguished colleagues together to discuss their work decolonizing museums. Join us on August 25 for an interactive conversation with Darrell Jackson and Nicole Crawford, leaders of the Stealing Culture project; and Kara Vetter and Brandie Macdonald of the Museum of Us, whose decolonization efforts are setting the standard for how museums can approach their collections. You’ll learn about each of these important projects and what they mean for the museum field, and then our panelists will have an open conversation with each other and field questions from those in attendance. This will be a great introduction to decolonizing practices for emerging and all museum professionals.
