As part of SEMC’s 75th Anniversary Learning Series, this interactive virtual program invites participants to roll up their sleeves and tackle real-world budgeting challenges together.
Museums across the Southeast have long demonstrated creativity and resilience in the face of limited resources. In this program, four professionals from different backgrounds and organizations will begin with funding and capacity scenarios they faced, from unexpected budget cuts to stalled grants, to staffing shortages, and ask participants to brainstorm solutions in real time. Working collaboratively, attendees will explore innovative funding approaches, strategic partnerships, earned revenue ideas, and mission-driven decision-making strategies that help institutions adapt and thrive. Rather than simply hearing case studies, participants will actively contribute ideas, share experiences, and crowdsource practical solutions with peers from across the region and leave with actionable takeaways.
