Hannah Fox is the Director of Projects and Programmes for Derby Museums. She has led the development and delivery of the UK’s new Museum of Making at Derby Silk Mill, widely regarded as the world’s first modern factory site. With the project nearing completion, Hannah will share the journey they’ve been on to embed co-production and human-centered design methodologies into a major museum development, where citizen curators and makers are at the heart of the $25M project to ‘make’ the Museum of Making.
Trained as a designer and photographer, Hannah’s career has involved producing cross-sector collaborative projects that put people at the heart of how places, products, and services are co-designed. She sits on several museum advisory boards and is part of the NAS Creative Community Fellowship, a cultural and social entrepreneurs network. Hannah consults on human-centered and co-production methodologies with people and organizations internationally and has an accent that can be hard to pinpoint…
