What is interdisciplinary design and why does it matter to museums? To architects? To educators? To students? How can we participate in Design Education and create partnerships to raise awareness of the experiential design field – instigating meaningful change? This panel made up of museum and industry professionals and clients will highlight current education initiatives and community outreach being implemented concerning interdisciplinary design. Attendees will learn about interdisciplinary design and its importance to the cultural sector and will explore how museums, associations, and industry professionals might work together to create a greater education initiative for future students and continuing education.
Join us as we aspire to create an ongoing support network to ensure the sustainable growth of diversity in future museum and industry leaders.
Panelists: Gretchen Coss, Gallagher & Associates; Lynn Osmond, Chicago Architecture Center; Beth van Why, Becker & Frondorf; Averie Shaughnessy-Comfort, Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums
This event is FREE to MAAM Members! Non-members can attend for a small registration fee of $5 or $10.
