Meet the Speakers:
Ember Farber is the Director, Advocacy at the American Alliance of Museums where she develops and implements AAM Advocacy strategy and content, working directly with museum advocates and AAM’s many partners. She communicates with AAM’s advocate network and the field about federal policy issues and advocacy opportunities through legislative and advocacy updates, calls-to-action, print, email and social media, Museums Advocacy Day and Invite Congress to Visit Your Museum.
Caitlin Donnelly is the Education Director at Nonprofit VOTE, providing training and resources to nonprofits looking to begin or deepen voter engagement activities. Guided by the principles of inclusion, equity, and intersectionality, Caitlin is committed to working with nonprofit organizations to center and uplift the voices of the communities they serve. Prior to joining Nonprofit VOTE, she was the Program Manager at Youth on Board, designing curricula and leading programming that supported youth leadership and involvement in decision-making within the Boston Public Schools.
Barry Szczesny is the Director of Government Relations and Public Policy at the American Alliance of Museums where he develops, implements, executes and evaluates the Alliance’s current and long-range public policy goals and legislative objectives. Barry has more than 20 years of federal government relations and advocacy experience representing non-profit organizations, including museums, most recently as principal of Potomac Federal Consulting.
