The Carbon Inventory Project (CIP) is a product of Culture Over Carbon: Understanding Museums’ Energy Use. It is funded by IMLS as a National Leadership Grant.
These free monthly Office Hours train you to confidently monitor and report energy use at your museum, zoo, or site.
This month’s training focuses on completing the process of accurately reporting your 2022 totals. We’ll examine how you can use that information for annual reports and progress on energy benchmarking; and – most importantly – how to submit it for Carbon Day calculations.
These free office hours will not only help you set up or complete the reporting process, but also help you build an accurate total for benchmarking from year to year. This is becoming important for reporting on energy and infrastructure grants, and for local rules compliance.
You can ask questions about Carbon Day accounting and sign on to contribute your 2022 annual energy use and emissions totals. The entries will be shared as an anonymous aggregated number alongside a list of participants (as desired). Any US site can participate. https://tinyurl.com/SignUpforCIP2023
