As museums confront the reality of perpetually growing collections and ever shrinking storage space they must confront the difficult and often overdue task of collection review and refinement. History Colorado and the Indianapolis Museum of Art have created two similar, but highly individualized, approaches to assessing their collection and prioritizing collective objectives and deaccession goals.
