This session handout was originally presented during the 2013 Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD, and was updated in 2020 following the coronavirus pandemic. Established museum professionals, Mary Jane Taylor, Anne Verplanck, Jeannine Disviscour, and Lee Vedder, provide strategies for coping with job loss, networking, finding interim contract and consulting work, and securing new positions.
