Friends of Libraries USA

Friends of Libraries USA offers a series of fact sheets with tips on support organizations. Some are specific to libraries, but most are applicable to museums as well. Several of the fact sheets discuss starting a friends groups; some present ideas for organizing special audiences such as junior friends or academic friends. One fact sheet focuses on establishing a foundation when larger amounts of money are needed than can be raised by the friends group. Others cover operational issues such as fundraising, board development, diversity, and advocacy.
