Join AAM’s Public Relations and Marketing Professional Network for a special event with Chris Cloud, Director of Marketing and Community Engagement at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and former Director of Marketing and Communications at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD).
Cloud will lead an insightful and energizing session exploring:
- how museums are experimenting with new strategies to grow and engage audiences and communities;
- why MCASD invested in a comprehensive research study leading up to the grand opening of its expanded campus;
- and how MCASD leveraged results to design a more intentional audience development strategy and create a new purposeful membership program.
Attendees will have an opportunity to reflect following the presentation and share with colleagues in breakout rooms, leaving with thought-provoking insights, innovative ideas, and actionable strategies to take back to their organizations.

About Chris Cloud: Chris Cloud is the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and has a passion for connecting people and ideas. Previously, he was the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Marketing Content Director at the immersive art experience Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the Social Media and Community Manager at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Outside of being the hype person for dope art institutions, Cloud is an artist and culture maker himself.
