As complex, planetary ecological predicaments persist, artist-centered organizations are uniquely poised to be sites for inquiry, intervention, and engagement. A growing number of artist residency programs are taking on this charge, building programs to support artists working at the intersection of Arts + Ecology, opening platforms for cross-disciplinary exchange and considering new ways to engage strategic partners.
In advance of the Alliance of Artists Communities’ Annual Conference, join us for the Arts + Ecology Preconference—a special day-long summit on October 15th.
The preconference is open to artists, administrators, and community partners who are interested in supporting creative work at the intersection of arts + ecology! Participants will have the chance to meet colleagues from around the world, explore Bartram’s Garden, and hear from artists and artist residency leaders engaged with this work!
