On September 22, 2020, President Trump issued Executive Order (EO) 13950, Combating Race and Sex Stereotyping, with the apparent goal of banning certain racial and social justice training by any company or organization that receives federal contract or grant funding. This far-reaching prohibition has caused a stir in various government contracting and grant circles, and while this EO does not go into effect until November 21, 2020, the Administration is already taking action that could cause significant harm to such companies and organizations now and further down the road. On October 22, 2020, Venable’s Dismas (Diz) Locaria and Krista A. Nunez, who have been closely tracking and advising clients on this EO, will hold a webinar to discuss the EO, its far-reaching implications, what to expect on the horizon, and how best to prepare your company or organization now and into the future.
