It’s hard to know whether our museum’s virtual resources are working as intended. Online user-testing can provide valuable data to help you improve your products and better understand their impact. Hear from Sarah May and Katie Todd who evaluated a web-based version of an exhibit originally designed for the brick-and-mortar Museum of Science, Boston. The webinar will highlight how researchers adapted in-person data collection approaches to evaluate this virtual exhibit in an online context. Learn how this team recruited visitors, conducted online observations using a think-aloud approach, tested exhibit architecture through directed tasks, collected online survey and interview data – and how these efforts might inform both online and physical exhibit improvement.
