Rotterdam set to launch world’s first fully accessible art depot

The Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, Netherlands, has opened the first-ever publicly accessible collections storage facility, putting its full collection of 151 thousand works of art on view in a depot-style building where visitors can view them on racks, in cabinets and display cases, and via projection rooms.

Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen is the world's first publicly accessible art storage facility. It is located adjacent to the museum in Rotterdam's Museumpark, and opens on November 6.
