Join us at George Washington’s Mount Vernon, located in Alexandria, Virginia, for the first American Alliance of Museums, Historic House and Sites Network Summit entitled, Leading Forward: Shaping the future of your historic site.
In an effort to connect our network with relevant and accessible topics that drive the everyday decisions of the Historic House Museum, we have established an annual Summit. Leadership will be our overarching topic for the Summit to be held at Mount Vernon, the Historic Estate of our founding father; The Education Center and Museum, and the Fred W. Smith Library for the study of George Washington.
Each day will focus on a keynote speaker with several smaller lectures and workshops to strike a balance between theory, discussion, networking and practice.
This Summit is co-hosted by the Mount Vernon Ladies Association and the American Alliance of Museums and our Historic House and Sites Network. Registration is limited to the first 100 to register.
The statements and opinions expressed by panelists, hosts, attendees, or other participants of this event are their own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of, nor are endorsed by, the American Alliance of Museums.
