Board of Directors Nominations

Periodically reviewing and strengthening a board’s policies, practices, and procedures is a best practice of nonprofit governance. The American Alliance of Museums’ Board of Directors voted in July 2021 to conduct a thorough governance review, including a review of the board nomination process. To allow for the review and thoughtful implementation of any new procedures, the board also voted to take a bye year for the election of new board members during the 2021-2022 term.

Information on the board nomination process for members of the Class of 2023 will be posted here as available, by Fall 2022.
