The Alliance’s councils and advisory groups help shape and inform the direction of our programming.

Accreditation Commission

The Accreditation Commission is an independent and autonomous body responsible for all decisions regarding Alliance accreditation.

Council of Affiliates

The Council of Affiliates serves as a forum for the leadership of these organizations, Alliance Board and staff to discuss issues of common concern and exchange information about organizational priorities and activities.

Council of Regional Associations

The Council of Regional Associations serves as a forum for the leadership of these organizations, Alliance Board and staff to discuss issues of common concern and exchange information about organizational priorities and activities.

National Program Committee

The National Program Committee is made up of professionals from within the museum field who help select the sessions for Alliance Annual Meeting.

Professional Network Council

The Professional Network Council provides leadership for the Professional Networks, which promote individual excellence in professional standards and best practices and provide professional members with job-related resources and opportunities for networking.
