The rewards of working in a museum also come with risks, like blurry work-life boundaries and stressful interactions with the public. In this discussion, experts will offer their thoughts on self-care as well as tips for maintaining staff wellness practices within the museum – during this moment and beyond. EdCom hosts, Reggie Lynch of the Akron Art Museum and Meriel Stokoe of Syracuse University, will be joined by: Sarah Erdman, author of The Care and Keeping of Museum Professionals; Lauren Kochian, President of the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology; and, Camille Bethune-Brown, Director of Collections at the Women’s Museum of San Diego (and ERYT-500 Vinyasa Yoga Instructor).
